Sheesh!

I wrote an entire entry Sat morning, tried to save it and my computer froze up.  Grrrrrrr!!

But, i didn’t really have any exciting news anyway!

I’ve been somewhat outta commission for awhile.  I went from an absessed tooth, to the tooth being extracted, to dry socket, to a virus we passed around at work.  And Sat, i got stung by something for the first time in years.  Why does it hurt soooooo much more since i’m an adult than it did when i was a kid??!  I went to put something in the trash can at the trailer and felt like someone put a cigerette out on my finger.  Sheesh!!  

But, j and i took off to Jekyll, our little island paradise a couple of weekends ago anyway.  Dry socket or not, we were ready to get outta town for a bit after our busy summer of moving and fixing up both places.  And…it was a great!!  Jekyll is just "chill", which was exactly what we needed!!

J and i played golf together for the first time in about five years and had a blast.  He was, of course, harassing me on the first tee, telling me, "Just try to hit the ball, ok?".  I boomed a tee shot out there, looked at him with a smile and yelled, "Shot of the day!!".  Kinda funny, ’cause i was thinking i’d just be happy to hit it…

In the couple of days we were there, we played putt-putt, swam, ate seafood, and hung out on the balcony.  We played some scratch offs to try to win enough to buy one of those four hundred thousand dollar houses at Jekyll so we wouldn’t have to leave, but no such luck.  I did win $15, which was almost enough to cover a night there for the pooches…

On the way down, when we were almost on the island, we stopped and put the top down on the car.  Doodle LOVES to hang her head out the window and this was her first ride with the top down.  She was halarious!!  She propped herself up on the ice chest and i watched her little nose wiggleing while she checked out every new smell.  Then, she’d walk to the very back and check out the view there.  She was one happy puppy!!  Tickles, however, wasn’t so thrilled about all that air in her face and wormed her way into Daddy’s lap.  Silly dogs!!

But…we had to come back home.  I’ve been trying to get caught up at the trailer– we’ve got to get that wonderful little money pit SOLD!

Ok…back to work.
