Hey!!

I  can’t believce i’ve been away for here for sooooo long!!!  I miss writing– and wondering what’s going on with ya’ll!!!!

Any of you who read Soph’s OD know that a week ago today, she flew in from OH, took the shuttle from Atlanta, and surprised me!!  *shaking my head*  You really never do know about that girl!!   She’d been in touch J to make sure it was ok and with my friend LeeLee, who’d planned to meet her at the Waffle House and spend some time with her till i got off work.  The only problem was, LeeLee had a doctor’s appointment that morning and because she’s had "the crud", which raised her blood pressure– something frowned upon when you’re nine months pregnant.  She was shipped from the dr’s office to the hospital to prepare for her C section.  She called Soph, very apologetic and near tears, telling her she wouldn’t be able to pick her up– and that J had to work later than noon, when he was supposed to get off.  Lucky i came home sick from work early!!  On my way home, i got a call from Sopb on my cell phone (which rarely rings).

"Hey, Fred, where ya at?"

"In town," i answered, a bit perplexed.

"Come pick me up!  I’m at the Waffle House by your house."

She thinks she’s just sooooo smart, pulling one over on me!! 

And even though i was sick, we had an awesome time!!  It’s wonderful to have a friend like Soph with my same warped sense of humor, yet the ability to carry on serious conversations about our faith and beliefs…and tend to give each other things to consider.  And she looks after my folks– and me.  What more could a person ask for???  Except that maybe she was closer…but i’ll try not to get greedy….

It was GREAT to see her– Tickles and Doodle thought so, too!!

Oh, yeah, J has her stamp of approval!!  (YES!!)

And…LeeLee had  seven pound Carley Shane the same day Soph arrived!  She’s GORGEOUS!!  She has a ton of med brown hair with blonde highlights!!  I’ve never seen a  baby born with highlights!!  She’s gonna be a diva, for sure!!  Her and her mama are home– healthy and happy!!

There’s lots more to write, but i gotta get up and get some stuffs done.  But…i’ll be back!!
