BE is fine

Sorry I’ve been away a few days…  not sure where they went, to be honest with you!  Really crunching on trying to find a job, and doing other things around here.

BE is fine!  The Doctor actually thought it was just gas.  Apparently BE doesn’t have a very high threshold for pain.  One would hate to think he would exaggerate a thing like that!  Seriously, though, I think he has a low threshold for pain.  Thank you all for the worrying, and I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you all sooner.

I got an email from a great friend I was in the military with.  Actually, he’s the one who got married over in Ireland last October.  It was a short email, and it just stated that he and his wife had to put Sam, the kitty that he has had as long as I’ve known him, down today, as the old age had taken too much of a toll on her.  I know this has got to be difficult on him, as not only has Sam been Scott’s one constant for so long, but his mother also had a special attachment with Sam, and she passed away back in 94 or 95.  So I know this is a difficult time for him.  Might I ask for a couple prayers of consolation for him, and also pray that Shirley will take Sam home when she arrives.

I also got another email tonight.  This one was a little more exciting!  My younger brother is OUT OF IRAQ!!!  He is in Kuwait as we speak, and will be flying into Baltimore on Wednesday morning at 6AM.  I spoke with Mom, and she asked if I was going to meet him, as his layover is only a couple hours long.  I didn’t even hesitate, and said, “HELL YES!!!!”.  Then I had to tease her, and tell her that I was going to go up there, if not only to see him, but also to be able to say I saw him before they did!  LOL  I can be devious if I want to…  LOL  This visit might be a short one, but I’m luckier on his return trip.  He has to be at the airport in Baltimore at 10 AM on December 5th, so he will be flying into Baltimore on the evening of December 4th, so I will be able to visit with him most of the night!  She said that he thinks the military is going to pay for a hotel room for him in Baltimore, so if that is the case, I will probably crash in his hotel room with him.  If not, I’ll bring him back here and he can stay here for the night.  (yes, I have permission from my roommate!)  hehe  I’m sure you all know how excited I am about his coming home for R&R, but I dread the fact that he has to go back as well.  I wish I had the money, as I would love to go to his house for Thanksgiving.  Mom and Dad and my older brother and his family will all be there, too.  Money is the only thing holding me back, as I still haven’t found a job.  Oh well…  enough boo hooing for now…  I’m just glad I’m going to be able to see him!

I met someone on Sat. who just got back from Iraq. National Guard, helicopter unit. He’s happy to be home, as you would guess. Glad your brother is out of there. Wish everyone could come home 🙁

Oh that is so great! I think of that “little” guy so often. Yeah I remember when he was smaller than me! I should do more to let him know that rather than just letting you know. I think of him, his wife, his kids! I just can not imagine how thye feel. Are they having Christmas while he is home? Give him a hug for me.
