Tonight’s excitement

I’ve been doing laundry today.  I help out VL with her laundry, because I am here in the basement anyway, so I know when the laundry machines have finished, and can keep on it.  I took a break when the boys were home, before going to their father’s, to help them get their homework and stuff done.  They were to go with their father for supper and to Ox’s football practice.  They were playing playstation with their father, as VL was…  you guessed it, wokring still.  As they were getting ready to go out for supper before Ox’s practice, BE started complaining of a pain in his side.  At first we thought it was just hunger, as BE sometimes has an issue with not eating.  As they were getting ready to walk out the door, he started crying because his side hurt so much.  Everyone kinda pushed it aside and “bah”‘ed him, telling him that he would feel better after he ate.  So, away they went, to get something to eat.  VL was making supper for me and her at this time.  About 5 minutes later, they came back walking in the door again, with food.  BE was still crying, and Ox was pretty upset, running around to find his football gear to get ready for football.  As BE and his father sat down at the table to eat, BE was still complaining and carrying on.  He ate most of his meal, and then, still complaining, went to lay on the couch.  I came downstairs, where Ox was gathering his football uniform.  He was upset that BE was carrying on, and ruining his supper, etc…  I explained that BE was not feeling well, and might be really sick.  He said that he COULDN’T be sick, because he was running around like normal before hand!  I explained to him that sometimes it comes on really quickly, and asked him to just try to have a little bit of patience.  Then I gave him a hug, which seemed to calm him down quite a bit.  Then he continued getting ready, and he and his father left, to go to football practice.  VL and I sat down and tried to eat our supper.  I was just finishing up, and VL still had about half of her supper left when BE started crying out in pain, so she went over to him and asked him if he thought they should go to the hospital.  At first he said no, because he knows she doesn’t like to go to the hospital.  (She’s always saying “I don’t have time to take you to the hospital today, so settle down!)  But when we both told him that if he needs to go to the hospital, he needs to go, then he said yes, he thought he needed to go.  So VL ran upstairs to get ready to go to the hospital.  We got him ready, and she carried him out to the car and they left.  I cleaned up after supper, and came back downstairs to continue laundry.

Ox and his father came home from football practice, and I had Ox take a shower, and now we are sitting here in the basement, Ox watching tv, and me writing here.  I told Ox that he didn’t have to go to bed right away after his shower, and he told me that he wasn’t going to bed until BE came home.  I told him that he didn’t have to worry about BE, and that we would wake him up and let him know how he is when he got home.  This seemed to be acceptable to him, but now we are just sitting here waiting for word.

Their father left here and said he was going to the hospital, to meet up with VL and BE.  I hope BE is feeling better, and am hoping it is nothing serious.

Life is never dull around here, is it?  LOL

So what was wrong with BE?

November 13, 2003

Wow! I’m getting notes from you again! What a pleasant surprise! Oh, I’m coming to VA…that’s the plan at least. Mark Easter weekend on your calendar. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, or the arrival of our child, I will be there with bells on.

Oh my goodness. I got here late and see that you still didn’t say what was wrong with BE. I hope that he is okay. Thanks for all your notes, Sunshine. Love ya, 🙂
