Still Kickin’
Had some ‘excitement’ here. The bad kind. Brie and Carl got into it and Brie ended up having to run Logan down to her neighbors (2 doors down, townhomes) and calling me. Not good and I don’t want to talk about it. All’s well that ends well, but you know how I feel about Logan and I’ve yet to calm down completely, inside I still quiver at times. No, no, nothing happened to him, he’s fine and was fine-it’s just the whole thing.
Things are fine since then, busy. It’s been warm, then very cold again-which is even harder to take after the springlike temps., but the weatherman says things will soon start to warm. Ha. Last year we got 23″ of snow in April. I’ll believe it when I see it, ya know? *g*
Brie is working for hubs again, or rather his company-doing a home show this weekend. So I get to have Logan ALOT for the next 3 days. I’m so excited! I cleaned and did laundry and got everything done (God forbid a cat hair gets on that baby!!) today, so all I have to do is rock him and play with him and feed him..all the fun stuff. (Yeah, ok, so it’s fun for grandma, anyway-as new mothers are rolling their eyes. heehee) I’ll take him home at night and put him to bed so he’s there when Brie gets home, she wants that and I don’t blame her. She misses him big time when she’s away for a few hours and this’ll be 12. Yikes.
She and Carl are not together right now, I don’t have strong hopes that will continue. I think I’ll “know” when she’s done and right now I know nothing of the sort. Still blames herself more and doesn’t see that it doesn’t matter. The relationship will not work and that’s the thing they both need to realize.
But anyway, right now is good and I am thankful and looking forward to being with my darling boy while his momma works. He’s growing and changing and his new thing-which only Brie and I have heard and believe-is, he says “hi”. He DOES!! I swear. Plain as day. You say “hi, Logan!” and he says, “hi” and grins. Hubs laughs, that indulgent “ok, whatever you say hon” laugh. UGH. Whatever, he does say it and it’s precious and so is he!!(Uh, Logan, not hubs. *snicker*)
Logan has also found his toes and finds them amazing things. *L* He chews on ’em and looks at them in wonder and waves them around and grins. He is tickled pink to have such great things to play with and whenever he wants too! The child is edible I tell you. I told you he reaches out now? To be picked up? Yes, well, did I tell you it’s only *me* he does that too? Yes. Hate to brag, but, *shrugs*, what can ya do? *L* Yes, others do see that, btw. He’s very intelligent and already knows the one who will back him on everything, forever. *w* He’s already 5 months old! He wants to crawl so bad it’s funny, but oh boy, is Brie in for it! She kept me busy that’s for sure, but it looks like Logan will be even busier. He is a boy and are they ever different in so many ways-this I see all the time.
Well I’ve lost 8 lbs now on WW. Oh, thanks for the tips everyone and keep them coming, they’re wonderful! I think Chels has too, maybe 9…she still won’t let me see her weight, I certainly do not push. She’ll be 14 in April. Oy vey. Where in *hell* do the years go? She’s keeping me dedicated, and cracking me up. That kid. What a kook. She’s wonderful. *s*
I better get cracking, I’ve been reading a bit, but not noting. Just not in the spirit of things right now, but it’s passing, pls. know I have been keeping up somewhat. You all mean too much not to! I’ve had some inquiries, bless you, and I’ll reply soon. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the words out-tho’it really does help to do so. It’s off to a bath and bed now I think, hadn’t slept good for a bit, so I’m catching up. Can you ever? I’ve hauled out my Rosamunde Pilcher books and she is good for the soul-mine anyway….they’re doing a great deal of good. Except my family has about had it with my English accent! *L* (Oh, darling, that *can’t* be true! That’s too awful!) or (Oh that’s simply lovely, too grand!)
They can be an awful bore, my family, I’ve no idea what they mean. I’m off to a hot soak, then.
Somebody STOP me! *w*
Later.
Now.. spoli, spoil, spoil!! 3 days… 😀

Sorry about Brie and Carl – very upsetting. I hope they’ll realize it’s not going to work so they can both move on. Logan sounds like such fun! And I read a bunch of Rosamunde Pilcher years ago, and really liked her. This made me want to read her again. We’ve had those 2-foot snows in April too. I never believe it’s really spring until at least late May.

Worried over in this corner too for a bit but noticed you were noting so realised it was probably okay. Glad things turned out fine in the end. Happy babysitting (as if I need to say that ……)!!

I was wondering where you were? Glad you are okay. Sorry about Brie. Logan sounds too cute! Mason will be 4 months old on the 7th. He too is a little doll. Pictures please!!!!

It looks like you’ve made it through the worst of it. I’m sorry that Brie still cannot “see” what you do. :/ I’m glad you’re feeling better now and I understand completely about not being in the spirit of it. Sometimes things seem to go into overload and we have to do “just” what we have to, to get thru it. (((Solitare)))

Glad you wrote, I was worried about you. Hope things work out with Carl/Brie. That Logan still sounds like a sweetie. I think we need a new photo of him! I hear you re: OD — I have a love/hate relationship with it. Right now I’m in hate. 😉 {{Solitare}} take care sweetie!
