Writing an entry

Some days a title is just too much work. *g* Especially for me, my entries are usually all over the place. In fact I could use the title Random Thoughts over and over. Especially lately. I haven’t had time to think, and when I do my thoughts are full of Logan and how blessed I feel. Nauseating, but true, so true.

I’m sure that due to all the agony we went through, all of us, for those years w/ Brie’s addictions and my BPD and whatnot…has made me even more appreciative, but as a child, this was all I wanted. A family of my own. Where we all loved and hugged and laughed, and then started it again. Physically, verbally. Growing up, I knew my parents and sibs loved me, but no one ever showed it. It just wasn’t done. My exes family seemed so great after that, so verbal and always laughing and teasing-it took awhile to see the psycho aspect of it all! *L*

So, yeah, lately, I’m blissfully happy and disgusting involved with my little family. Which is nice, but gets boring to read about every single day I’m sure.

That said, just this one little thing about Logan. *L* Yesterday, I’m over there, cuddling him up in my daily visit and he starts his growling. He sort of growls, grunts, whenever he wants to sit up or you know, poop. But this wasn’t his poop growl. (I cannot believe I’m talking about this!!) Anyway. At first, because I’m a worrywarthypochondriac, I was worried. “Why is he doing this?” I wondered. “Is something wrong?”

I changed his positions, sat him up, held him over my shoulder. But no, he was still doing it. Like being ornery. So I held him up, looking at me and growled back. Well damned if that didn’t cheer him up.

So there we sat, him and I, growling back and forth and making very ferocious faces. Until I started laughing too hard to do it. He was, it seemed, just being a little boy. I think we’re going to have our hands full with this one! Oy. Lord I love that child.

Ok, that’s my Logan story for today. Scouts honor. And yes I was a Girl Scout! Well not for long, I loved Brownies, but the older I got, well the less ‘cool’ it seemed, not to mention boring, so I quit GS not long after I’d ‘moved up’ to it.

Yesterday I cleaned. I mean *cleaned* the upstairs. Then I finally hung pictures in my office and got it settled. (It’s only been what? 6 months?) *rolls eyes* I’m so damn sick of this cold with no return (snow), and this brown, brown, BROWN world, I could scream. It’s not even been that cold, it’s below zero at night and 5 above or so during the day (but for the 200 mph FRIGID wind which makes it -20 to -30) it’s just that w/o snow that’s just cold for no reason, thus stupid.

My Lord, have I had to much coffee today or what?!

*shrugs* I don’t think so. Just chatty I guess. Anyway, I cleaned and etc. the upstairs and my office here and now it all shines and smells so sweet. I’ve been just giving it a dust and a promise, but yesterday I woke up in a mad frenzy to do nothing else. Spring cleaning fever is hitting. So now I write, then I look up and to my left a teeny bit and see the pic’s my mom painted of our home and the home she grew up in, and the pic of me, mom and Vic in our 1800’s wear we got taken in Keystone, SD. It’s so nice, makes me smile. Getting my nest all set up here. I have a wicker loveseat that will not fit on my porch with the chairs and tables, so I’m going to paint it (or Hubs is going to paint it) and put it in here with cushions, pillows and a throw. And a plant, a nice, fat, healthy plant. A lamp, curtains, etc. It’s a small room and has one window that looks out over the woods. Perfect for me.

I already have pics on my desk here, of course, of hubs and me, the girls and Logan. The one of Chels is her, at age 3, eating spaghetti and she has spaghetti sauce all over the bottom half of her face and it’s adorable. The one of Brie is, again just her, at age 8 and she’s in her costume and makeup and on the set, from the Wizard of Oz play put on by the city that we lived in then. Precious. Hubs and I, at our wedding. And the one of Logan and Hubs on my desktop-and several others. *g*

I love my office now, I have one of my Grandma’s hankies on my big bulletin board. (It’s a pretty one w/ violets that she just carried-a Christian Dior, and I’m sure the only thing she ever had that was a “Name” brand, bless her heart.) My jersey from Volleyball in school that has my (maiden)name and # is hung on there too. (It’s one of those huge boards that take up one wall.) Pic’s and numerous other papers and such. So that wall is covered. One of my bookshelves is in here, and one in the closet too. 2 others are in the hall with some more of our families pics. Plus I have 3 boxes full of books in the attic. My husband just looks at me in disbelief when I say I have *nothing* to read. *L* He’s not a big reader, just the paper, so he simply doesn’t “get” it.

Well, now you know what my office looks like, you can go on about your day. *waves airily* (snort)

I had actually planned on writing about some things that occurred to me yesterday as I cleaned. Lightbulb moments. But apparently, I’m just too tickled about my decor at this moment and unwilling to write another entry at this time. Altho’ I think I could. I am just in one of those moods. Hmmm. Might be back later as Hubs has (band) practise tonight. Just a warning.

Well time to take a shower (looks at watch *YIKES*) and practise the 7 layers of dressing for MN winter. Ugh. Have a great day-and if your weather is warm and lovely- I do NOT want to hear about it thankyouverymuch. *w*

I do the same thing with Thaddeus… *LOL* BTW, it’s ugly and nasty and brown here, too… though MN winters are so much so, from what I remember… bleh…

No our weather is cold too but we have snow! Give Logan a growl for snowwoman. Never get tired of hearing about him. Your office sounds wonderful! Hugs

You’re cute. *:-)

Your office sounds great – and makes me want to work on my “study”. Which is the spare bedroom where I throw everything that I don’t know what else to do with. I swear I’m painting it and buying a huge bookshelf and getting all my books in there. When??? Who knows!!! And I always enjoy the Logan/family entries! I have a very reserved family, and love the open ones like yours.

I was going to say that we’ve been enjoying wonderfully cool weather here, but after your entry mid-50’s just doesn’t seem as cold. Catching a breather from the quicksand to catch up with everyone… sorry for not leaving notes along the way.

🙂 – what great memorabilia you have on your walls! and a clean house at that! I’m so envious, I STILL have a maze of boxes here – and don’t see that changing. I was just thinking the other day I need to get some pictures on my desk, it’s so bare now – something to take me away when I’m sitting here working. We have snow again…most people dread it here, I still love it. 🙂

Your office sounds great! I still need to put some things on my office walls and get some curtains and lots and lots of throw pillows. It needs to be more “cozy”.

ryn: Your note wasn’t snotty at all! Everyone is laughing at my “mommy pains”! It’s getting better, though. I didn’t cry at all last night! Hell, the puppy is doing better than me!

ryn: yes, and I’m going to respond, but it may be tonight. I’m having to actually work today!

Hmmm. You wanted OUT of the Girl Scouts??? I was looking for ways in 🙂 Love of family shines through your entries; love reading them, even if I don’t always note. ryn: I thought “trite” was a fish or fishfood or something fishy like that. 😉

Growl.. Cute as a button! LOL How about a Picture of the room?? 😉 It’s cold here… brrrrrr

Ok, well then I won’t tell you that the other day it was 80 here. *ducks* But, you’ll be happy to know that it’s now only supposed to be in the low forties today and my toes are frozen despite the two pairs of socks and pair of fluffy slippers I’m wearing! I loved the descript. of your office. It sounds cozy and wonderful and I can just imagine you there! Thanks so much for you

..youR..your wonderful note yesterday. You always know exactly the right thing to say. Love you, love you, love you! Stay warm,

ooh, I love your Duncan image. I ordered one with the guy fishing and the moose on the banks, can’t think of the name of it, for upstairs. I’m doing the boys bath and their tv room in a lodge theme. One of my absolute favorites of his is the lady sitting in an adirondack chair overlooking the water with sailboats. He has so many that I love actually – mother and son, and on and on and on. 😉

Well I’m now totally jealous! I wanna have an office too …….. but I’m going to have to wait a good while before there’s any free space in this house. I’ve booked Nikki’s bedroom but she’s threatening to go to college here & never leave home! That’ll all change in a few years time I’m quite sure …………!!
