Nope.

Thought I’d make the title short and sweet so I didn’t raise any false hopes! *L* Oh boy NOW I really remember the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Not just how uncomfortable I was, but this waiting! OY.

Hubs and I went to the wedding yesterday, it was so sweet. Held outside in a Pavilion (this spelling looks wrong but that’s what the spell check says on it when I checked) in the woods near their home. The pavilion was back a ways on a paved walking path and sat in the midst of tall pines and varied leaf trees with a pond on one side. Very beautiful setting, very casual and intimate ceremony. Clear blue sky, slight breeze and a bright sun…rather a hot sun as it was 92 degrees. But the ceremony was short so it wasn’t terribly uncomfortable. The bride was, of course, beautiful. *s*

After that we went back to their place for the reception. First dinner then the band (yep our guys), played. Was that ever a blast seeing all of them on stage again! It was weird, yet not weird, and they sounded terrific. The blend was just as good if not better then before, and they still need work of course, but their preview was a definite success.

Bonnie and I and her daughters (all grown up and so beautiful) danced, laughed and just had a wonderful night. Now we really cannot wait until they start playing regularly.

Today was another hot one, so we had Brie and Carl out for the day and dinner. She has no air. Carl mowed the lawn for hubs, as he’s trying very hard to get back in our good graces. He’s been wearing long sleeved shirts around me. I told Brie to tell him today it was not necessary. Sigh. We’re getting somewhat used to the tattoo. Ok, we’re really not but what else can we do but try? Anyway, the day went well, thankfully, and Brie didn’t have to sit in a hot house. Her feet are starting to swell which I hate to see as I had toxemia (severe water retention) in my pregnancies and know it can be dangerous as well as uncomfortable. She waddles around, but is cheerful. Logan sticks his foot out now, I can feel his entire foot! Pregnancy and birth are just simply continually astonishing. Can’t wait until I can hold him for real and Brie can’t wait to be able to hand him to me! *L* Well he’ll come when he’s ready and we have to be patient. (never has been one of my strengths)

Oh re: those spiders I was gently complaining about *snort*. Rugby, another diarist here, had suggested Hedge apples. She’d heard they are supposed to repel spiders, etc. I did find them by the name of Hedgeballs. They look like apples however-sort of green, bumpy ones-and they say are to repel spiders, etc., so I assume they are the same just go by a different name here. I found them in the grocery store and bought a bunch. a dollar each but I didn’t care, which should tell you how desperate I am. They do seem to help. I think the spiders are down to half the usual amount and that is wonderful! They are supposed to last 6 months. I put some in the basement and also the bathroom. *fingers crossed they eventually peter out*. My little info and tip for the day. Heh.

So, anyway, a busy weekend and of course it went fast. Don’t they all? Hope everyone’s was enjoyed, have a great tomorrow. 🙂

Sleep tight.

*first note dance* (always wanted to do that). Was just saving diary entries into my paper diary before going to work & resisting the temptation to write an entry & check on Favs & was doing well when I thought no – can’t do this – I just have to find out!! It’s obviously far too comfortable in that womb!! Glad the wedding went well though.

The wedding sounds like it was wonderful.. glad the band was a hit. Dinner with Brie & Carl sounded tense… But he’s making an effort.. squirming effort? Pataince has never been my favorite virtue..either LOL

laughing at your title 🙂 Cute! You know us all so well!!! Glad to see you had a good weekend and that Carl is making an effort. Never heard of the tip…never heard of that kind of an apple either but hey, as long as it works!

Woooooo, boy, do I remember being Heavily pregnant in the hot weather, too!!! ICKICKICK…..My prayers are going up for your whole family, & Brie’s burgeoning family. I think it’s VERY smart that she’s gonna come stay with you for a while after the baby is born, I SWEAR by the practice!! I stayed with MY folks, and it saved my life. Literally. 🙂 LOVE YOU!!

How well I remember those last weeks! RYN Plonk – slang for cheap wine.

September 10, 2002

RYN – Nikki is 14 so a year ahead of Chels – she’s in 3rd year now so that must be the equivalent of 9th grade where you are? She moved up to secondary school at age 12 – primary school has 7 years then secondary school has at least 4 years and usually 5 or 6 (depending on exams taken & results).

September 11, 2002

Oh, I was hoping he was here! Poor Brie I remember those last days and feeling awful but also thinking, oh my god, this baby has to come out, it’s gonna hurt and it’s too late to change my mind!!!
