Not Yet…

I am so tired my eyeballs are crossing, but wanted to let you know no baby yet. Brie had contractions last night-starting with lower back pain, but they stopped after a couple hours. Then tonight, she came out for awhile and to have supper and I could see her tummy tightening and then going soft again! Her body is definitely getting ready. Tomorrow is her dr. appt., in the morning, we’re excited to see what he has to say. *big smile*

I’m hoping, really hoping, that once this child is born and things settle down I regain some of my memory. I’m telling you it’s gone. I hope it’s not a ‘cute’ little side effect of turning 40-just a lot on my mind. Now I have to have notes to remind me to look at notes! I’m already worried about forgetting Brie’s appt. in the a.m. I have reminders all over. Oy.

Saw Carl today and it went ok. It really did. I didn’t even see red. I studiously avoided looking at or anywhere near his arm (one w/ the tattoo) and by golly he didn’t try and show me! Which then I was kinda disappointed because I had my little zinger all ready to say. But I hadn’t seen Brie in a couple days ( I know, pathetic!) so I was happy just seeing her and feeling her tummy for little feet. *s* I said “Hey little guy, grandma’s here.” And sure enough he started moving around like he always does. I can’t wait to see him. I told him to jump and I’d catch him, but no go. *grin*

Chels is still real mellow about this whole thing, but I cannot wait to see her with the baby. She is going to fall in love big time. 🙂 Oh tummy settle down, it’s not time yet!! *L*

We have a wedding on Sat., only 10 minutes away however, so if no baby yet, I’ll go w/ my cell as a main accessory. That’s the day predicted, separately, by my niece and Brie’s best friend. They’ve never met, or even spoken, but each of them said they just have this feeling his birthday will be Sept. 8th. That’s kind of interesting hey? Well we’ll see.

Everyone’s in bed and I’m heading there too, I’ve slipped into rambling now, and once I get going on that…
