from slugsville

when i awoke this morning and got up to head into the bathroom, i asked the little dog if she wanted to go outside.   it’s nice now because she associates outside with the doggy/cat-door.   the door in the kitchen also means outside.
while i’m going towards the bathroom, i scan the floors as i go.  looking for dog messes.

this morning,  i found no doggy messes.  it’s well into afternoon, around 2pm or later and we still have no potty in the house.  i keep scanning the floors as i go around the house.  this is nice.  since she came to live with us, we have kept a bucket of cleaning water in the kitchen with one of those mopbucket things so i can keep the mop clean as i go.  dustin changes the water for me at the end of each day.  he will be pleased if he doesn’t have that chore to perform anymore.

blanca has aged enough that she is not as clingy as she was.  i’ve even found myself alone in the bathroom a couple of times.  and it could be that everytime she came into the bathroom with a toy and try to give it to me, it was pitched over into the tub.  she. does. not. like. the. tub.  i don’t know why.

she loves her crate.  she just does not use it.  i put tiny treats in there and hide them in the "blankets".  it got her over her fear of the thing.  franny the cat has taken to getting a nap in the crate from time to time.

she has pretty good table manners and will leave the area when i tell her "out".  she listens to me best most of the time.  she is still stubborn.  i don’t see that changing.

she looks much different now.  i will see what i have to stick on the end of this entry for those that care….

i am fine.  my life is a rut.  the only fun i’ve had in a week was a great trip i had to the mainland.  i went to tj’s house and we traded beads from her stash.  i brought a big ziplock baggie full of all kinds of awesome stuff.  the rest of my time is spent in a mundane routine that takes up the day.  and i don’t mind it.  i kind of like it.  there is no stress there.

                      she’s my little clown.

look at those adoreable floppy ears.

Your dog is absolutely gorgeous! Tranquillity is a wonderful way to find yourself, being in a rut however is not so nice. I hope you’re able to break free and find some new challenges to occupy your time.

ItÂ’s the first time IÂ’ve seen Blanca, sheÂ’s a cute little dog with lovable soft eyes, much like ZiggyÂ’s. She looks like she will be a wonderful companion though your mundane days, things seem busy just now, I could manage a few mundane days; but I guess such days come when perhaps you need a little more Â…..!

Routine is good, boring sometimes but good. I love that little doggie face!

Blanca reminds me of Mister Sister…oh how I miss my little doggies.

She is precious. What a treasure you have there.

and I too got a baggie of beads to take home, fantastic wonderful beads! Had a great visit with you and completely loved watching you and Jade play. Blanca is learning her manners, that is wonderful! I knew you could do it. Mayhap the next time you come, she can come too. I bet she;d love playing with Jacob and Marley!

ryn about girls getting to wear pants. Thats a great story! I knew they didn’t allow girls to wear pants at one time, but its funny to think how ridiculous that rule was.

Aloha… Ryn: Well… I live right next to the ocean… and my guess is that the water is about fifty feet deep in this photo… Ironically… the depth of the water close to the beach is quite shallow… maybe only ten feet deep as far out as several hundred yards… Aloha oe…

RYNote. It nice to have a note from you, we could do with some of your heat, todayÂ’s been colder then the winter, not that it bothered Ziggy or Lola; they would have walked miles. Daughter and I were happy to turn back early and get back to the car. How is your jewellery work going, I have two items for SweetheartÂ’s approaching birthday!

RYNote – things digital. A few years ago I read an article about digital devices we may see in the next fifty years, one item would be a gadget not unlike my fitbit, a device that would monitor the wearers health, and could warn you of things before they become critical, in the case of a heart attack call for help; and tell them where you are! We are ten years on and things are moving that way!
