a new beade too
- peyote stitch is my favorite beading technique so far. i thought is was going to be flat spiral stitch but i think i keep doing it because if you pay just a tiny bit of attention, you can zone out and relax while you do it. peyote is much better about that….. if you screw up a little, it can make for very interesting texture in the surface of what you are doing.
- with that said, i made my own version of what is called cellinni-stitch spiral- peyote. it looks a lot like a shell. enough so that i want to it again in shades of blues-n-greens for a watery feel to it. i have some more of those tiny seed beads that would work just right.
- i have too damned many ideas. i’ve taken to writing them down and i even lay things out and take pictures of them, so i can come back and pick up on something i’ve had to put down for lack of something i need or when i need to figure out how to make something do what i want it to do.
- i have been having some crappy days health-wise….. i believe most of it is sinus and allergen-related. what that allegen is, i do not know. i don’t think it’s dog. it might be grandchild. i began getting ill when she came to spend christmas with me. really, i think it was a mix of a lot of things. it’s been raining and not-raining and the barameter has been flinging itself up and down like crazy. that always messes with my sinuses. the sinuses have been giving me headaches that have been bothersome. i was also sleeping in a different way, sharing the bed with miss hannah and all. if i don’t make my little nest of sorts, i can sometimes have this apnea-like thing going on while i sleep. i am medicating myself with breathing treatments which i hate, but they do help. i got into trouble some this morning when i decided to do some picking up and i had breating-treatment stuff strung out all over my bedroom and was trying to gather it up, and i had already puffed on my rescue inhaler as much as i was supposed to. keith came by and saw i was needing assistance and took over and gathered and helped me set up the unit and within 20 minutes i was in a lot better shape. i can see that this copd crap is not going to be any fun at all. and somehow, the nerves get involved somehow and everytime i get really breathless, i swear i am about to pee my pants. i don’t know what the hell that’s about….
- creepy crap, i know, huh? this is like listening to your old granny, blow by blow about her health.
- want to hear about my cats instead?
- frannie will lay next to me while i pet her and blanca at the same time. it was quiet and we were all ready for sleeping. it was a nice moment.
- meep loves to fake blanca out when blanca is running go-get-it with her angry-birds stick. when i chuck it across the kitchen floor, blanca goes after it, tiny feet skittering on the tile, running as flat out as she can to get that stick. meep jumps into the middle of the floor like she’s going to get it instead, and blanca tried to stop and let her. looking started.
- it’s very funny. the cat can be seen laughing with me at the dog.
- meep will let blanca creep up on her in her sleep and lay down next to her, if she’s real quiet. hannah too.
- tigger is very careful around blanca. he is afraid that blanca might get something nasty on him. like puppie-cooties.
- blanca is better about understanding that it makes her people happy and joyful when she pees outside. sometimes, she even asks to go outside. sort of. she whines. but, she whines for everything she wants.
- blanca is a whiner. or a whimperer….. if you want to gloss it someshe’s too cute and sweet and loveable to make it matter. hannah too…..
- she is 3.5 pounds. and i will tell you she is about four inches tall from her foot pad to her front shoulder. short legs. she is long for her legs too. and she is barrell chested. she yarks.
- one of her favorite treats is cat poop. got to watch her on that one like a hawk.
i also have been making braided cords. i have made 2 of these green beade dealies.
wow. your last two pictures are so impressive. and i so love blanca!

Great work with the beads. I wish I could work with such small beads and sometimes I can but other times I can’t because my hands shake so much. She’s so cute!! Rocki is big on eatting cat poop too. Its so gross. We have to put the cat boxes away somewhere she can’t reach them but the cats can when we get up in the morning, since she sleeps in a cage.
