and then there was a traveling bead box
i joined some yahoo groups. i found one for wireworking. they hang out mostly around san antonio and san marcos. so i just watch and do not go to the meet-ups. another one i joined and later left was one for chainmaille. they have a data-base file with every pattern you could want and lots you don’t. i must confess i joined for patterns. and i got them. so i quit that group. my bad.(i was already getting too much email before these guys)
and i joined one more group called swap-a-bead. and of course, there is a traveling box of beads. this week i got the traveling box.
the box starts out, comes to members one at a time…. the member takes out whatever they like, but must add back in at least a same level of quality item back in. then the box is gathered up and mailed to the next member. and bead swaps on the side. sometimes they have jewelry contests. with themes. you get to pick what you participate in.
so here is the traveling bead box… all of that came out of that little box in the background. when my son brought me the box, i started to laugh. "it’s kind of little", i thought. i never thought to count how many choices there were to choose from.
i put in extra bags of beads. more in than i took out. i didn’t toss any of them in the trash, but maybe somebody needs to. i sound like a butt-head when i also say i hope everybody likes MY bead additions.
oh wow thats pretty cool.i love collecting beads
