Told you the daily posts wouldn’t last LOL
I’ve been working this weekend and it’s been quite busy. One of the nurses went and fell yesterday (Saturday) evening and broke her ankle, which meant more work for the rest of us today. ( Can you tell I’m full of sympathy?) Funny thing is, this is the same nurse that took my place at my old surgery! Karma or what? LOL
Lee passed his practical test last Monday. He’s been out on the bike and describes it as “amazing”. He says the thing is just too fast. He’s only been used to a 125cc bike before as he never passed his bike test. Because this is a 3- wheeler he is allowed to drive it on his car licence.
He is down in Cornwall at the moment, visiting Vicki. He went on Friday and is coming back on Tuesday. He’s already says he loves it down there. We are fully expecting him to come back and declare that he is going to look for somewhere to move into down there. This will be good for him and for Vicki. She only has her flat until March and then she will need to find somewhere else to live. If he can find a place before then they can share the bills etc. However, before he moves down there totally he needs another operation on his stump to sort out a Neuroma (inflamed nerve) that is preventing him from wearing a prosthetic leg. He is due to see the plastic surgeons later this month. We will try to talk him into having it sorted before he moves down so we can look after him here while he recovers.
With any luck we will get a moving date for our new house this week. We know that the people we are buying from are going in to their solicitors on Tuesday to sign the contracts. So if all goes well we expect to be moving about the end of the month. Really can’t wait now. We’ve bought a few things already for the new place! It will be nice to once again make a place our own properly as we haven’t been able to do with the rentals we’ve been in for the last 7 years.
That’s it for this report. I’ll let y’all know what Lee decides next time!
Take care all.

I’m sure it is that I’m simply tired (or simple) and forgot the news of the new house. Wonderful!!! Digging in and making a house your own is so special. I knew Lee was going to love the new trike. Hope his surgery comes soon and goes well. This has been such a long journey. Hugs

ryn: Oh, I know that. I realize she screwed up but it wasn’t like she did anything super harmful. She just started and IV (which is what we would have done anyway) with normal saline. It’s up to the doctor whether they want to still do the procedure or not with glucose that high or send the patient to the hospital or just send them home. She should have notified the MD for sure but really, noharm was done. The doctor still wanted to do the procedure and we just told the guy to take his meds as soon as he got home. We called later to check on him and it was down to 140. The other woman is just really trying to get this one fired so she made it into a huge deal in that effort. New Girl is a brand new nurse. This is her first job as one, so my feeling is just explaining to her what she did wrong and how to handle it would have been sufficient. Not try to get her fired. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when they first start practicing.

Ofcourse he would describe the trike as amazing. It is 🙂 No matter if it’s a trike or bike. I hope that your new house will be a true dream come true! Hugs
