it’s over

Well it is the day after Christmas and I have some sort of kid of good news.   Our offer on the short sale house was accepted Christmas Eve.   Now we get to wait for the powers that be to do their stuff so we can move forward, all while hoping we’re not kicked out of here and forced into an apartment while we wait for our new home.      I am excited though.   It is such a cute house and we can make it home, knowing that it is ours and that we can stay there for a time.
Christmas started badly.   Christmas Eve was when Kooky came down with a little bug, making it a very long night for all of us.    She stayed home from my parents, but I went only to find out that we are having a redo since SIL was sick as well.   I ate breakfast and hung out for a bit, and we opened our presents and left the sickos for them to tend to later.   I got a great little laptop travel pack with a mouse that Kooky can use (she has trouble with the netbook) and some other cool things.   I came back to a non feverish daughter, and we took her to the in laws for dinner.   She was a bit tired, but we ate and watched netflix movies for her on Dad’s new blue ray player, along with some you tube.    We just signed onto netflix again so we might look into one of those players.    It’s great!   We need a DVD player in the living room anyway and we can actually watch netflix that way.   I am terrible with the dvd’s.   We opened gifts and all got some great stuff, and hung out late.   Now I have a ton of stuff to put away and wash, but it makes it Christmas.    I have all day to do it in my PJ’s.  
Kooky is still asleep.   I think that all of the excitement got to her.   I am going to head off and do some things around here.   Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!!!!
