Not what we expected
We made it kit and caboodle. It was easy driving for Stanley, treacherous for me! I am thankful I am not a truck driver by trade. Wow, push the pedal to the medal was no joke! Stanley would say to me. More gas, more gas Ollie…..oh, driving on 26W in SC was very scary for me. The big truckers jump back and forth from lane to lane and then the guy in front of you is going 55 in the left lane on the 70mph highway. Ugh, I did it but I didn’t like it. We left Florida at 7am and we got to here at 5pm. We made a few stops for breaks and gas but the ole Silverado got us here without incident. Oh, wait a minute….about a half hour into the trip the AC blower quit….we rode with the windows about 1/3 down. The noise was deafening so we couldn’t listen to music or talk very much…..then when we got into South Carolina the fan motor started working again. Yikes….
Our new home is beautiful,,,we went right down after we got to our daughters. The big snafu is the front yard is so large they did not finish sodding after the sprinkler system was installed. The builder is saying they only give 3 pallets of sod and we were told property line to property line…..We are supposed to close this morning at nine am. Stanley and my daughter are ready to back out of the deal.. I am heartsick….they want the builder to agree to finish sodding and we will close the deal….I’m not a businessman…Stanley and Kimba can handle that….
More later, on another fine mess for Stanley and Ollie…..
to be continued…..
Oh dear… my husband can be stubborn like that. I always get sick to my stomach. Glad you arrived safely and I hope the deal goes through as planned.

glad you made it ok, despite the AC blowing. To be honest I personally prefer to have windows open in a car when travelling ( unless its raining of course)….so its good you got to smell the fresh breezes even if slightly tainted by emmission fumes fromother vehicles. Welcome to your new home….starting over is always a challenge but a good chance to get creative and have fun. Hope the yardissue is soon sorted though, you don’t want mud and soil trampled inside. hugs P

ok, read the following one first and know all worked out; once when we closed on a house the purchaser offered us a deed to an oil well instead of money; K stated he wasn’t a bank and told the realtor to put the sign in the yard and told me we were leaving the room. Now we owned two houses; I cried that afternoon but had to agree he was right when about 6 pm there came a call that the buyer had acashier’s check for the amount he’d agreed to bring to the closing. How weird was that!!! So…I have special sympathy for your situation.
