Lions and tigers and bears oh my!

It is unbelievable.  On Saturday night the little town where we are eventually moving had a horrific tornado.  My daughter had told me that the hail and wind was tremendous but she had no damage.  Up the road it was a different story,  a home was completely moved off its foundation and a church and several buildings were destroyed.  The Governer has visited and declared the county and 2 others disaster areas.  Oh my, oh my….

I am at work and this is the first time I have ever written an entry during work hours…so slow…and scary… We get our taxes done Thursday night and my daughter and grandchildren will be arriving on Friday to have a long weekend with us.  We are both off on Monday and Tuesday…I look forward to sunny skies and warm temperatures….

I am going to get on the NPR station and see if I can read the speech that Obama made today…I’m curious…

We always go to the beach on Sunday and take a long walk and relax….wellllllll, the fog was so thick when we headed out into the Intercoastal that I wanted to turn around and go home…but no, Stanley the diehard….pressed on…I really got aggrevated with him and that is very unusual but…I thought he was being reckless…we only have a short distance to putput up the Intercoastal to our inlet pass but, it seemed like an eternity..  The beach was windy and cold, dark and gray, the waves were high and the fog was so thick it felt like it was raining.  I turned my heels and situated myself on the boat under my towels.  Stanley took a walk and when he came back to the boat we had a good talk…He said he didn’t want to turn back because he felt if he could get to the inlet he would be able to reach the area where we could.  He said he felt the fog would lift when the sun came out and it would be easier to get home….ohhh

I didn’t get any green beer yesterday either…hehehehe

We got corned beef and cabbage. Nice reading you again. I will come walk with you on a foggy beach. Be better than trying to walk in six to eight inches of snow. I am ready for summer, hehe. Love and God Bless.

Oh Ollie! I saw where SC was hit and wondered if your new house was affected. So yours was not damaged? Glad to hear your daughter’s was not. Today we are under a flood watch. This is worrisome since we are coming into our rainiest time of year here and the ground is completely saturated already.

Tornados are so scary. I am not in agreement with those that would discount the attitude that has been exposed in Barack Obama’s church. It sounds like there is cause for concern.

Hello dear Ollie! So good to catch up on your life. So you and your beloved Stan are moving to SC! I love the mountains and the woods and I feel you’ll be happy there. Having your daughter nearby is such an added plus! How far away is your move? I’m thinking the best for you and also, thank you for being such a constant friend and staying in touch. I have been in healthcare for the past threeyears now and it’s quite a challenge!

I didn’t know about the hit there, so glad your daughter’s family is safe–scary! Hope your Easter was lovely. you can google nyt and do a search for the speech–best to read it in full. A real landmark speech, Ollie

i don’t much like driving in fog. it’s too scary not being able to see in front of you. spring is coming and my friend in wichita is very fearful of the tornadoes that spring brings to kansas. take care,

Something different for me. It is good to read about someone else’s life. It is often better than tv. I admire Obama. He looks like a decent man.

It’s a good thing the tornado happened now rather than when you moved there. They are noooo fun!Luv U,
