May day 2006
May day brings back memories to me of lilacs in bloom. We would pick bouquets and take them to all the neighbors and to our Mother of course.
This picture is really me! It was taken last October at my favorite Uncle’s birthday. In the original I am flanked by my wonderful Aunt and Uncle. My little Irish Uncle who at 83 still swims and runs/fast walks. He tells me if we have a hurricane season like last year, he is moving to Saipan! Remember, I wrote about his attending the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the North Marianas Islands.
When I realized that my picture would be posted for recent entries I decided to post a different picture, but alas, I can’t do it! I keep uploading it from photobucket and checking the size and it will upload to my entry but not my profile picture! You all must all get frustrated with my fiddlin and fussin about this computer…
Work is especially stressful this week as I am the only RN for our 2 ambulatory surgery rooms…I really enjoy this job and the Docs and staff I work with all day. My partner RN at work sadly had to return to New Hampshire where her dear Mother is in a Hospice house. She has tried to assist her sisters long distance from Florida but it is not the same…she has made numerous trips since last November up to NH, but she thinks this will be the last one. I have 2 excellent surgical techs who work with me and they are good support.
I am so excited! In June I am travelling to Ohio for some training at Cleveland Clinic…I did not say anything to my kids for fear that I would be disappointed again and not see any of them..but, my daughter has told me that all three of them will be in Ohio the week I am there!! That is to good to be true…1 from Utah, 1 from South Carolina, and my Son, from Virginia, who I have not talked to in at least 2 years! whooowhooo…I am so happy!
Stanley is out cleaning the pumps on the fish ponds. No problems so far this year with Big Bird! We hung a net and some fishing line down from the trees and it scares him away! So my fishies are quite content and safe…
It is overcast here but so far no rain…the water levels are way down and we need rain! Stanley finished the roof this past weekend so we are ready for some downpours!
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening! Hugs, Ollie
Hope you’re having a good evening too. I find that sometimes I have to go to photobucket away from OD. It can play tricks on you here as it is a simplified version. Of course some of us are dumb too. I remember loading and reloading a picture only to find that I was copying a previous one that I had uploaded to a different folder in photobucket. Did I feel dumb!

It was returned to the owners pond with much celebration. Neat story eh? Don’t fret about your photo…the one thats there is lovely…you are a true dear heart…luv ya…P

To upload it for your profile picture, Ollie, you have to upload it straight off your harddrive without photobucket or at least that is the way I remember it. It is supported by OD itself instead of Photobucket. Glad to see that your fish have escaped the egret this year…;). I imagine you are looking forward to the trip to Cleveland or Ohio in itself. Thanks for such lovely notes!

the weather man said to do a raindance. mom has said she’s tired from dragging hoses to the wilting azaleas, and it takes a lot of dry to make azaleas wilt. ONE of ours actually has pink flowers on it, very strange. Our frog pond got a few inches but we are still much behind! Raindrops i hope are soon fallling on your head!!!!

Ollie–so good to catch up on your entries and know you are working at what you love and have this wonderful trip to look forward to. You are capable of so much joy that it is wonderful to see that life is supporting your expression of it. We have to meet sometime, don’t we? Frieda mentions you with so much warmth, and I feel the same.
