Wind Tunnel

Sitting here at the computer typing the whirring and blowing of water extraction machines fills the air.  I can’t here myself think,  I feel like I am in a airplane engine factory……So the tale begins…..

Just when I felt like I was getting back to being able to put some situations down on "paper"…the bottom falls out again…we definetly feel like there is a curse on us!   2005 I’ll be glad to see you go!!

We woke at 3am Friday morning to the sound of crackling coming from the kitchen, I thought the house was on fire, but as I rushed into the livingroom, I splashed thru about 2 inches of water and niagara falls coming thru my kitchen ceiling…..the day before we had had a new AC handler put in.  The access in our attic crawl space and our water pipes are snaked thru the ceiling here also….welllllll…the guys putting in the air handler must have sat or pushed or something but they caused a pipe to break.  Stanley was home thankfully and they called their boss who came and "repaired" the pipe………We plan to replumb our whole water delivery system as the copper pipes we had put in 4 years ago are all sprouting leaks!

"That fix will last about a year" he said, as he climbed down out of the attic…….famous last words…..it didn’t last 12 hours…..now I sit here again topsy turvy…my home and my life…..but at least I have one….so I will count my blessings, that’s what keeps me going….

Oh, no! I can only imagine what a mess you have, considering the huge clean-up we had when a mere 100-gallon acquarium sprung a leak! I’m so sorry. I’m glad that you are able to keep some healthy perspective in remembering blessings. I do that, too, because all in all we are so very fortunate. Even so, sometimes, goshdarnit, I just want to sit down and throw a tantrum!

OH NO! This has not been a good year for you at all, and I have had those years myself–hate them and recognize them when they arrive now. Just keep breathing. Those pipes should not be leaking already!

water can cause sooooo much damage no matter how it happens.
