An Indecent Proposal

A few days ago, when I was severly pissed off at being stood up, I went out with a work mate from Sydney and her husband.  2 days later, I got a call from the husband saying he was in my area having drinks with mates and all his mates had just left and why didn’t I come up to the pub and join him for a while.  Sounded innocent enough to me so I did, and had a good time. About an hour after he left I got a text from him asking me not to tell his wife (the workmate) that we spent time together.  I though this was weird, as she isn’t a particularly jealous person, not does she keep a tight hold on him. So I just replied with a non-comittal ‘yeah’.

Then, 2 days after that I had another text starting "G’day tiger…"  Now, ‘tiger’ isn’t a word you use to address just any old one, is it?  He also said that he should come around to mine for a porn night after Easter (the topic came up somehow in a conversation) and I could tell him all about my trip to Amsterdam.  Me thinks this is slightly strange, coming from a married man whose wife I am friendly with.  I didn’t know if I was reading too far into these texts, but I was feeling really uncomfortable about it.  Porn nights always lead to sex, even if you have no intention of letting things go that far.  It’s a fact.

I’d like to have a bloke right now, I really would.  But not a married man.  I have morals.  Especially a married man that I know.  If he was a one night stand I had never met before, that’s a bit different.  But this would be too weird.  And just wrong.

I think he got the message that I didn’t think it was a good idea.  And I don’t think we will all go out together again.
