Best of all…

Corners of the house are now cleaner. It’s only because we bought some new acrylic glasses at Costco last night. Gotta throw away the three kinds of old to make room for the new, don’tcha? So shelves were emptied, new and old washed, and while I was at it I cleaned out several other shelves. Do we really need all those coffee cups? Desert plates for forty? We isolate. Maybe we are supposed to stop isolating….but boxes and bags went to the garage with a light heart anyway.

Shelf cleaning is a very centering activity.

Letters written…….

“Yes, please we would like to have a gallon of slaw, macaroni salad, ribs of all sorts and some hot links to boot. Yes too, some corn bread to fill the corners and some sweet potatoe pie for the topping for the mad eaters dinner meeting of the month. Thank you for supplying the trash bag bibs.”

“PS: Can we please bring some real whipped cream. Humbly, G”

Letters unwritten…..oh, there’s lots of those. Laundry done. A poem whacked at and chapter one restructured until it finally begins to make sense….boring sense. Now I need to spice it up.

Listkeeper stuff read. I’m being trained to deal with servers and bots and plain text lists only as a volunteer. Yes, I am checking my own sanity.

No guard card yet….I’m free for yet another day. Tea now…with less honey than yesterday’s free flow. The new Newsweek and Smithsonian await me. And too, I’ve been working my way through the JA Jance mysteries starting with the ones centered in Seattle. Best of all, the sun is out. What more could you want.

I love the feeling after a good cleaning out. I am soooo overdue for one of those. Sounds rather perfect where you are; enjoy.

Haven’t had corbread in ages. Think it’ll be on the table for dinner this evening

I crave having time to clean!

I have been oogling the Doris Duke mansion on Oahu in the Smithsonian. Exotic, amazing, overwhelmingly tacky! I have recently cleaned cupboards. It makes one feel so virtuous!

What a lovely reading journey you have embarked on! JA Jance is one of those authors I wish I hadn’t discovered, so I could experience the books all over again! Happy reading!

Actually… There is other volunteer stuff that’s a lot simpler

🙂

Mmm. Think I’ll put on a pot of beans to go with the cornbread at our house. Great comfort food for the rainy day. How’s about sweet potato pie for the “real” whipped cream.Mmmmm. A pie I ate. I ate the pie. Now I’m so full, I’m gonna cry!((Carrie))

Wow, clean corners and sunshine too .. and all that other stuff in between. Enjoy : ) Hugs

Love that sunshine!! (and clean cupboards!) Tehachap
