So where the hell have I been and why haven’t I been writing?

Well, started the new job a few weeks ago, been living out of a suitcase while staying at a family friend’s place, busting my ass to learn said new job and ‘enjoying’ a 40 minute commute in both the morning and the evening. When I get home in the evening I’m so brain-tired that I try to find something relatively healthy for dinner and then make a dent in the sofa with my butt cheeks. I walk outside a little bit on my breaks, but otherwise I have been fairly sedentary, at least physically.

The job itself rocks. It is everything I am good at, and some things I am clueless about, which provides an excellent opportunity for growth and learning. My coworkers … well, a couple of them were awesome from the beginning, the other couple will take some winning over. I can do it, all will eventually be fine. All in all, work-wise I feel like I have found ‘Home.’

I’m still seeing the same guy I was seeing a few weeks ago. I like him … he’s into me, he’s not a bullshitter, he’s not unintelligent and I find him very sexy. Maybe not the guy who turns heads when he walks into a room, but that’s never mattered much to me. He’s got a beautiful heart, a good head, and a GREAT ass. He gets me, and I get him. There are challenges involved, but when are there not?

So all in all, I am happy. Challenged, have something to look forward to, and … that makes me happy.
