FERAL

     I have expanded so much because of the cold. I am in danger of being mistaken for the Governor, Christie, except for the fact he still has hair.
     I have no complaints about how he handled the Sandy relief efforts for my town and in fact used it for a lot of photo ops along with my Mayor, Dina Long. I am glad that I was off the Town Council when the storm hit as those Elected Officials , serving unpaid, went through a very hard ti8me at a thankless task.
     Last night at my house and looking at the great job my son had done with the snow blower I noticed a feral cat. Now this cat has to have been living here in the neighborhood for at least 5 years but this was the first time I actually took notice of it. It is a bit lean but not dirty and scruffy. I do think one of my neighbors had been feeding it but he just moved. It is bitter cold out and the cat when it saw me quickly vacated my yard.
     I felt sorry for it and the situation it is now in with bitter winter here the hunting it must do will be scares and food tight. So I had to gas my car up anyhow so I drove to a Quick Check market for gas and 6 cans of Cat Food. I left a dish out for it and lets see what happens. I guess I might do better in this weather with dry cat food because it might not freeze.

I’m sure when the weather warms up, you’ll be out and about more and lose some of the “Christie” excess. What a sweet and thoughtful thing to do for the cat. But ya, maybe dry would be better in the frigid temps.

And perhaps drape a blanket or towel over a chair if it needs shelter. Talk while you put out the food too. It will get used to hearing your voice. I had a terrible time to get here, but I read worse things about your Gov.

You are truly a good man, lucky kitty. Maybe a cardboard box with hole cut in it for kitty to shelter in? A small one kitty can warm with her body heat? Or better yet, an old Styrofoam cooler is already more insulated than a cardboard box…..

yeah, you’re a good man and i love me a man who is good to cats. i do think that dry food is a better choice in this cold. make sure you put out some water. it’ll freeze but you can always put out more water before you go to work and after you get home and before you go to bed. somehow you need to provide some sort of shelter for the kitty. it will need some towels or blankets in the shelter. again, you are a great man for feeding the cat. take car,
