BAD; SAD AND MAD

My town started a rumor. Monday they said the Library would be demolished. Residents raged and demanded a short time to meet and protest the act.
Today, the dozers came and the Library is gone.
Rubble.
What a lot of us considered as the heart of the town is now broken and gone.

The day is wet and very7 rainy and the clouds dark and gray

The only light is the red fire of anger.

Elections are coming in November and we now have an outlook for our ire.

that quick it is gone?—amazing!

It’s wet and rainy here as well. What a shame about the library.

Wow.

get them with your vote! After all your town has been thru I would have hoped there would be more effort to keep people informed and in the loop before hand. Kick ass!

What was the reason? We had this fabulous restaurant in Phoenix that was condemned for political reasons. I still mourn the loss.

I hope they plan on replacing it with a new and improved one.

Why, for god’s sake. Were you able to save the books? I’m so very sorry.

seems like they wanted to raze it fast before you and your posse got armed and rode in protesting

what the???? why?

For all of my conservative political tendencies, I’m a huge believer in libraries and argue for them all the time. (I blame this on my grandmother, who was a champion of her local public library for most of her life.) I can’t believe “they” (whoever that is) were able to do this so quickly and with so little public discussion. I hope you’re able to organize support to rebuild it. What a shame.

Did they take the books out first? Oh my, this hurts my heart.

unless there’s gonna be a much better one built soon, this hurts my heart beyond belief. i guess all you can do is complain with your votes. take care,
