A PLAN IS BORN

Easter dawned on the NJ Shore with a wind blown rain from the East. The temperature was hovering at about 52 degrees but the rain made it uncomfortable. This was a moderate rain made penetrating by the strong wind. The rain found the open spots and made everything wet because of the strong wind. I had a few errands before Church and went to the bakery and to the gas station. I also went to my son’s house to sneak up on the cat. I swear that the cat is playing games with me. I walked in the door and almost broke my neck because a small rag toy of the cat’s was underfoot with demonic precision And I had come to make friends even bringing a special Easter treat of a dead mouse I found on the road. As I left I yelled to the cat that I would be back tonight and beware.

My daughter and her six year old met us at Church for Easter Mass. Even though I was consumed with hatred for the frisky feline I still enjoyed the Mass and the company. I was as proud as a grand father could be because of my grand daughter. To be there today with people I love in the House that love originates from was a special event. Later we all went to my elder son’s house for Easter dinner. He and his wife have two cats and I spent some time discussing my dilemma with them, the cats I mean. Some good ideas were tendered and I will try to implement them in the remaining time.

The day was closed out with my weekly meeting of my home group. Then I had to go back and face the cat for her evening feeding. To get her off guard I just did the chore and left. Tomorrow evening I strike.

Since you are catholic, could you tell me why the preist is the only one who gets to drink the wine at each mass ? You celebrate communion with only the bread of Christ (or Body) I’m serious, drop me a note.

“..consumed with hatred..”…I love it, ThomaS! The cat is winning! (cats always win, dontchaknow..give it up, ThomaS!) Love your attitude… love you…!

I have a little sign in my house that reads “never try to outstubborn a cat”.

Hugs,
