EATING OUT=NO DISHES TO WASH

I had a malignant mole removed from the back of my neck six years ago. It was a melanoma and early discovery helped for a complete recovery without side effects. The one side effect was to make statistics of my children. Did any one in your family have Cancer check one y——n—. The strange part was this was brought to my attention outside of Church and by a young woman who introduced herself as a Doctor new to the area. I have looked for her and asked about for her and no one knows who she could be. I have wanted to thank her and I have not been able. This Good Samaritan seemed to have vanished into thin air. I do believe that events happen that we cannot understand so I just accept the facts and do not worry about the rest. God moves in ways I am unable to comprehend.

I had a very busy work day with a plethora of problems. The day was saved by dinner with a friend. The two of us get together once a month on a Monday for dinner and to update each other on events in our lives. We have much in common and have been friends for ten years. His wife just finished radiation treatment for breast cancer and has responded splendidly. I am so happy for her and for him. I also talked to my eldest son about last night and Thursday night we are going out to dinner with our wives. This looks like a week that will be quietly enjoyable and I am ready for it. I really admire and love his wife because of how happy she has made him. I also respect the woman for who and what she is in her own right. She is smart, successful and just a great person. I have learned to love her and to also be thankful for her parents who are such worthwhile people and super company. I guess that this feeling is normal . Whatever makes my children happy makes me happy.

I do not know where I am going with all this tonight. I just have a contented feeling and feel the warmth of happiness. I think I wont ask questions , I’ll just appreciate the moment.

My dad had the same thing…in many ways it seems you and my father are alike:) I hope you don’t mind the comparison. It sounds as if you go out to dinner as much as I do!! Love it – FreedomGrrl
