Tigers
It is raining tonight at the Jersey Shore. Driving home from work as I came over the bridge into town I could see the misting rain obscuring the road. It almost seemed like a fog but was light rain driven by the wind. My youngest son who works with me left a few minutes early as he was taking his family to a Hockey game at the Meadowlands Arena. His two girls are great fans of the NJ Devils and they go whenever he can get tickets. His youngest daughter is nine and bound to become a Veterinarian when she gets older. She was so moved recently that she got a petition circulated through her town and school and got over 100 people to sign it. You see here in New Jersey we have the dubious distinction of being the only State in the Union to have killed an escaped TIGER this year. Without my going into the right or wrong of it undoubtedly this event struck a chord in the minds and hearts of many people. We have a College whose athletic teams use the Tiger name and people thought they were the only tigers in the State. To learn that there is a population of about 35 tigers in a 25 mile radius of two sites really raised my eyebrows. I think that if I was out walking at dusk and found myself face to face with a 450 pound tiger I might want the Police to come quickly.
Tomorrow I am going to Atlantic City along with my wife and three others. I do no really care for the Casino city finding it over crowded, smoky, noisy and filled with rude pushy patrons. Other than that I really do not believe that they built these garish Casino hotels at great expense just to give me their cash. When you view it as a days entertainment then the perspective improves. My greatest fear is to become a big winner because with my personality I could believe that I am the smartest and luckiest gambler in New Jersey. That would be fatal because I have an addictive nature. If anyone wants to stake me send me $5,000.00 and I promise to send back your share of the winnings. Less of course the down payment I will put down on the Bridge I will sell you.
Other than this today was just a busy uneventful day. Nothing too stressful occurred and weather kept us home instead of going out for dinner.

Ps. To Freedom Grrl who left me a note on Laser hair removal I quite well know what it is and what it does. It is just that having a follicle impairment I just can not in all conscience support any hair removal. Hair is an endangered species in my home.
LOL..ok, I understand now:P But I heard it’s cool to hang out with balding men; you don’t get in anyones hair! – FreedomGrrl

ThomaS tell your sons youngest to go for being a veterinarian. I am training to be a veterinarian technician and than hopefully will be going to college for it. Thanks for your note! Val E.
